I make art in the same way that I move through the world. I strive to understand who I am, and as I learn, I reprocess what I know. I reflect and then reassemble. And to balance the tumult, I establish structure. Similarly in my work, I use a variety of methods—screenprinting, cutting, taping, painting, drawing, weaving, filming—to build frameworks and create visual vocabularies, imagining and then reimagining what I see and what I know.
